Lynda Hiles, Librarian
Welcome to my library world. I have been the librarian at Graves County High School since 2001. Prior to that, I had a career as a hospital administrator. I have bachelor's degrees from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale and Murray State University, a master's degree from Florida State University; and I am a National Board Certified Teacher. Becoming a librarian was a mid-life career change for me, primarily because I love to read, and I love children. It was one of the best decisions I ever made.
On a more personal note, my husband and I love to travel. We have been to Ireland, Alaska, Peru, Mexico, Canada, Costa Rica, Cuba and all over the Caribbean. Cruising is one of our favorite ways to travel. Besides both of us being avid readers, we also like to run/walk and ride bicycles. We have participated in numerous 5K and half-marathon (13.1 miles) events. I am not fast, but I am persistent. In the summer, it is not uncommon to find us on the Greenway Trail in Paducah or on our bikes at Tunnel Hill in Illinois. We are both anxiously awaiting our retirement, when we can travel and be active on a daily basis.
